Celebrating Volunteer Week

Monday 3 June to Sunday 9 June marked Volunteers Week and was a perfect time to highlight the incredible contributions of our dedicated volunteers. We had a lovely afternoon celebrating the generous time and commitment they give.

Special thanks to Orbital Net Ltd for providing the drinks; Franco Manca in Canterbury for donating 10 delicious pizzas, which were a big hit with everyone; and Style Brands for producing special 40th Anniversary pin badges that we gave out as a token of our thanks.

Our volunteers play a crucial role in our community, and their efforts are hugely appreciated. One of our dedicated volunteers, Della, who helps out in our shop, shared her experience: “If you want to work in a charity shop, this has got to be the one to work in. There’s tea and coffee on tap, and I work with some amazing, amazing people in the volunteer team. I love it; I really notice a difference in my mood when I can’t come in.”
