DESCRIPTION:Sponsored pool challenge – 9am to 1pm\n\nJoin our sponsored pool challenge and set yourself a distance to walk or swim. This inclusive event is open to all abilities\, giving every member the opportunity to take part in a way that feels right for them.\n\nThe pool will be open from 9am to 1pm\, with two therapists supporting throughout the morning. There will be no more than three members in the water at any one time\, ensuring a safe environment. Each participant will have a 30-minute slot\, and Danni will be in the pool offering guidance and encouragement.\n\nYou can choose your own distance to challenge yourself. If you are unsure what feels appropriate or achievable\, please speak with your physio in advance to agree a goal that is both safe and motivating.\n\nThis is a free member challenge. We kindly ask each participant to aim to raise a minimum of £35 to help cover the cost of their session. A fundraising page has already been set up\, making it simple to share your challenge and gather sponsorship from friends and family.\n\nEvery pound raised helps us continue delivering specialist therapies and expert support for people living with neurological and long-term conditions.\n\nSpaces are limited. DESCRIPTION:ARE YOU BRAVE ENOUGH TO WALK OVER HOT COALS FOR THE KENT MS THERAPY CENTRE? \nOn Friday 7 November we will be holding a FIREWALK and are looking for brave people to cross the burning hot red embers which are around 650 Celsius! The event will be run by UK Firewalk\, the UK’s leading Firewalk organiser and hosted by Scott Bell\, twice holder of the Guinness World Record for the greatest firewalking distance. \nThere will be a safety briefing starting at 6.30pm followed by the firewalk itself from 7.30pm. \nSpaces are limited – don’t miss out! \nThere are a maximum of 60 places available for this challenge\, so get signed up now to avoid disappointment! \nSign up here  \nRegistration costs £25 per person (non-refundable) and each walker is expected to raise a minimum of £80 sponsorship in aid of the Centre. The event begins and finishes in the Olympic Stadium and provides a scenic course that is flat and fast-paced. It’s the biggest and best for a reason and that’s not just because it’s a well known stomping ground for obstacle testing. You’re going to need a hefty team to get you through the surprises on course for 2025. DESCRIPTION:We’re challenging our members to choose a physical challenge in May.\nYou can take on this challenge: \n\nIn our gym\nIn the hydrotherapy pool\nDuring our classes eg. Pilates/Yoga\nOutside the Centre\n\n50 is your guide for this challenge but it can be tailored to suit you and your ability. You can either set 50 as the final goal for the end of the month or each week do exercises that add up to 50 by the end of the month. Whatever suits you\, there is no challenge too small! \nSome examples of different challenges you could do include: \n\n50 lengths in the pool or 50 steps in the pool\n50 km/miles on the rowing machine or bikes\n50 times standing up from sitting\n50 lengths of the parallel bars\n\nOur physio team are a great place to go to discuss possible challenge options for you if you are unsure or need some guidance. They will also be on hand throughout the month to keep you on track with your goals and offer support. Please do speak to Hazel and the team if you have any questions about what would suit you either in person or email thephysioteam@kentmstc.org \nIt’s completely free to sign up. Everyone participating will receive a certificate at the end of their challenge.
