DESCRIPTION:Our charity shop will be selling a huge range of items. There will be a range of stalls on the day offering everything from crafts\, handmade cards\, preserves\, knitted items and sweets. All sorts of refreshments will be available including tea\, coffee\, cakes and bacon rolls. DESCRIPTION:A brand new event joining the SEUK line-up in 2026. The Canterbury Trail Marathon & Half Marathon is a super off-road running event set in the beautiful countryside just south of Canterbury. \nShowcasing the very best of the Kentish landscape\, the routes wind their way through a varied mix of scenic trails\, rural footpaths\, and quiet country lanes\, offering runners a true trail running experience. \nBoth the marathon and half marathon distances take you across rolling farmland\, along historic pathways\, and through peaceful stretches of open countryside. Expect a course that is diverse and engaging — from wide\, runnable tracks to more technical trail sections — all designed to challenge and inspire runners of every level. \nThe Canterbury Trail Marathon & Half Marathon is perfect for seasoned trail runners chasing a new challenge or road runners looking to step off the tarmac and onto the trails. \nTo join Team Kent Neuro and run whilst raising funds for our Centre\, click the link below. \nHalf marathon: £20 registration fee + £100 minimum sponsorship \nFull marathon: £30 + £150 minimum sponsorship \nSign Up to the full or half here \nCheckpoints & Aid Stations \nThe Marathon has four checkpoints and aid stations. The first and fourth checkpoint is in the same location at The Ivy Barn in Littlebourne. The second checkpoint and aid station is at the Kingston Barn\, the third checkpoint is at Lower Hardres Village Hall. Details of this will be shared nearer to the event. The Half Marathon has two checkpoints and aid stations\, both of which are at The Ivy Barn in Littlebourne. Each checkpoint and aid station has toilets and there will be food available at each and hot and cold drinks\, as well as options to top up your water bottles/flasks. \nKit List & Navigation \nBoth distances have a mandatory kit list. You can view it here. The Marathon distance requires you to be able to navigate\, and make your way around the route with little way marking. You will need to be able to show us that you have downloaded the route onto your phone and watch for use on the day. There will be a kit check and route download check at the Event HQ. If you are not so confident with navigation\, the Half Marathon is a good option as it is way marked\, but downloaded route maps to your watch is strongly recommended. \nEvent HQ \nThe Event HQ is based at Canterbury Christ Church University Sports Centre with great facilities including\, showers\, changing rooms and toilets. We will have hot and cold food and drink\, a chill-out zone\, free massages\, a recovery area and plenty of space to relax before and after your run. \nRoute \nView the route here \nCut-off times \nThe Half Marathon has a cut off time of 3.5 hours\, the Marathon has a cut off time of 7 hours. The checkpoints have cut-off times related to these overall times. These will be published prior to the event. \nSupporting the Kent Neuro Therapy Centre \nKent Neuro Therapy Centre is an independent charity based in Canterbury\, providing expert care and specialist therapies for people living with stroke\, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s. DESCRIPTION:Join #TeamKentNeuro \nThe TCS London Marathon stands among the world’s most renowned and iconic running events. Pay tribute to someone special by supporting the Kent Neuro Therapy Centre through fundraising and awareness. Soak up the incredible atmosphere and experience the thrill of success as you cross the finish line to the cheers of thousands. \nOur charity has two places in the 2027 event and we are accepting applications to join our team. As our places are so limited\, we ask for a minimum fundraising target of £2\,500 and you will need to pay a £100 registration fee if given a place. \nYou’ll find our terms and conditions about our places on the form below. We’d strongly encourage you to include personal links you have to our Centre as well as a clear fundraising plan. \nComplete our application form \nIf you’re on our team\, you’ll be backed by us all the way: \n\nFree Kent Neuro running top (we can personalise these if required)\nPersonalised fundraising poster and collection pots\nSupport with any fundraising ideas you may have including events\nPosts on our social media\nWhatsApp group including supporters WhatsApp group on the day of the event\n\nHave you entered the ballot? \nThe ballot typically opens Marathon weekend and closes 7 days later. If you are selected for a charity place\, and then also successful in the ballot\, you can accept the ballot place knowing you will receive the same level of support from us. We can then re-assign your charity place to another runner ensuring we grow our team as big as possible! \nAll our Marathon fundraisers will receive support where needed\, including an exclusive WhatsApp group. We will provide you with a Kent Neuro running top and a charity t-shirt to help you raise awareness and promote your challenge. Additional promotional materials such as sponsor forms\, collection pots\, posters and leaflets are available on request. \nGot your own place? \nUse your place to raise funds for Kent Neuro and you’ll receive the same support as our charity place runners including a running top and t-shirt. The biggest difference is you get to set your own fundraising target!
